The Problem Isn’t Settlements, It’s Arab Rejection of Israel
SIGN THE PETITION
ADL : August 5, 2009
ADL has grown increasingly concerned by the seemingly single-minded focus on an Israeli settlements freeze by Administration officials and those directly engaged in promoting Israeli-Arab negotiations leading to a final resolution of the conflict. We are confident in the fortitude of the U.S.-Israel relationship, and President Obama has been clear about the stalwart U.S. support for Israel and the importance of this relationship.
However, the undeniable impression has been left in the public mind that the Administration believes that progress toward these negotiations is dependent on Israel committing to a full freeze of settlement activity. There is no similar public, specific, quantifiable demand being made of any Arab nation or of the Palestinian leadership. Abe Foxman, ADL National Director, raised this concern with President Obama during the President’s July 13 meeting with Jewish leaders.
ADL feels it’s important to let the American public know that the lack of progress for peace is not the settlements, but rather Arab rejectionism.
Therefore, ADL ad ran in the August 4th edition of The New York Times. This ad will also appear in more than a dozen Jewish newspapers across the country in the next few days, including all six editions of the South Florida Jewish Journal.

ADL Petition
There is no peace to be had with genocidal terrorists. There is no peace to be had with those who’s religious doctrine commands them to destroy all Jewish religious, political and cultural existence from the region. I don’t know what it will take to get it through the thick skulls of Israeli and western leaders.
