“We Are Happy Living With Muslims”
CAIRO – Hundreds of Welsh in the coastal city of Swansea are standing side by side with their Muslim neighbours and friends against attempts by far-rightists to paint them as the enemy within.
But they are enemies seeking to impose sharia on a free people as is taking place throughout Europe.
“We are happy to live together with the Muslim community,” Leanne Woods, National Assembly member for Plaid Cymru (Party of Wales), told the Wales Online on Sunday, October 18.
“We are not prepared to accept divisive and hate-based politics on our streets.”
Stupid woman. By accepting islam, she is indeed accepting divisiveness and hate. Islam does not allow for any other faith, its doctrine is for either the conversion of non-believers, their submission to islam, or their death.
Hundreds of Swansea residents gathered around Castle Square on Saturday, October 17, to counter an anti-Muslim march by the Welch Defence League (WDL).
“This is the first time they have come to Wales and a lot of people from different organisations have come out to say far-right extremism isn’t acceptable on the streets of Swansea,” asserted Woods.
The WDL had called the march to protest what they called the influence of “extreme Islam” in Wales.
Its supporters chanted anti-Muslim slogans with participants making Nazi salutes, with one of them arrested for a racially-aggravated public order offence.
“My first reaction to the WDL is who are they defending us against?” wonder Keith Ross, one of the organizers of the counter demo.
“I don’t need to be defended against Muslims.”
Wales is a country that is part of the United Kingdom with a population estimated at three million.
Islam is the largest non-Christian religion in Wales, with over 30,000 reported Muslims in the 2001 census.
Intolerance
Many Swansea residents accused the WDL of fuelling hatred and intolerance in their community.
"It is worrying, the intolerance," said Darren Cadwallader, a resident.
"One of the things I love about St Helen's Road is the diversity."
Ross, the organizer, agrees.
“I’m sad that the WDL has made a public call for no more mosques, which is a breach of human rights,” he asserted.
This is what I detest so much about liberals. They don't get it that islam itself is hateful and intolerant and those who oppose it are the ones standing up for freedom and human rights. Liberals actually believe that by defending islam and sharia makes them enlightened and progressive when just the opposite is the case. They are standing up for an ideology that is unenlightened, barbaric and medieval and denies basic human rights. This is what makes liberals in fact a detriment to western civilization. Their insistence on tolerating intolerance will set civilization back centuries. Far from being progressive, leftists are in fact regressive. These are the same people who find conservative Christians to be too extremist and intolerant to associate with because of their opposition to gay marriage for example, yet they ironically embrace hijab and turban wearing muslim fanatics. Do they think their muslim friends even believe gays have the right to live, let alone get married? H/T islam in Action

What both the Left and Islam share in common is a mutual antipathy to the West. They have their differences of course but for now both have a common enemy so they can be temporarily set aside. But if that day ever happens, my bet is the Left will be vanquished as it was in Iran after the revolution against the Shah. The other side is not committed to co-existence but to burying the enemies of Allah. In that respect the irony will be lost on the atheists and radical secularists now embracing them as comrades in the struggle against the bourgeois enemy. It bears reminder the West's most dangerous enemy is not from outside its gates but rather within them.
Some of the WDL protestors were making Nazi salutes. They also burned an anti-Nazi flag. The are videos and photographs on the Web if you care too look them up.
I suggest you look up the "British Union of Facists" and "Battle of Cable Street".
Then you will see the kind of thing the Welsh leftists were protesting against.
Here is how the WDL describes itself:
"Standing up against Militant Islam and the extremists behind the plot to make Britain an Islamic
State. We will peacefully protest every time they attempt to stir up hatred in Wales and will travel
to help our English, Scottish and Irish brothers and sisters whenever needed.
This is not a racist group, and all races are welcome to join. No BNP, NF or Nazis here".
So the leftist and islamist attempt to slander the group as being nazi is, as I suspected, false. The reality is that the islamists are the true nazis.
It is not a false portrayal of the group. Have a look at the photos and videos of the event before you call it slander.
