The Failure of Socialism

The situation in Greece is what you wind up with when you have a massive welfare state and entitlement culture. It's what happens when you have high taxes, massive government spending, nationalized health care, government mandated six weeks of vacations a year, retirement at 55, pensions 30% above the productivity rate and otherwise paying people not to produce and providing them with benefits to boot. Now the selfish, spoiled brats are rioting because the gravy train has to end with Greece going bankrupt. Are the White House, democrats and the liberal elitist crowd who insist we must be more like Europe going to be swayed by this and acknowledge the wrongfulness of their ideas? It's doubtful. Why would we want to turn into the European hellhole that our ancestors fled? When you have adult able-bodied males who demand that the government take care of them, is it any wonder why Europe is emasculated?
