The Travesty of a Mosque Near Ground Zero

Here are some excellent articles opposing the ground zero mosque abomination. Those that support it, including the meshuga mayor and newspaper editors, recite imam rauf’s talking points. How gullible can anyone be to believe this project is about outreach just because rauf says so? While proclaiming he believes in religious tolerance to Americans, rauf tells his fellow muslims in Arabic that he opposes interfaith dialogue. He has also blamed America for 9/11, has refused to admit hamas is a terrorist group, he is tied to terror groups, advocates for sharia law and lied about where he is receiving the money for the Cordoba Initiative, which is actually coming from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and who knows where else. In fact 80% of mosques in America are funded by Saudi Arabia. It would take very little effort to look into rauf’s background, as numerous bloggers have done, and discover that imam rauf is an islamic supremacist, not moderate and peace-seeking. But the msm and political leaders simply refuse to do so because they place a higher priority on political correctness than on protecting America. The political and media elites think they can keep the truth about Rauf and the mosque project from Americans, but most of us are on to him. Anyone who doesn’t see that the purpose of this mosque is to be a symbol of islamic triumph over America, is willfully blind.

Americans may have lacked for much in the course of their history, but never instruction in social values. The question today is whether Americans of any era have ever confronted the bombardment of hectoring and sermonizing now directed at those whose views are deemed insufficiently enlightened—an offense regularly followed by accusations that the offenders have violated the most sacred principles of our democracy.

It doesn’t take a lot to become the target of such a charge. There is no mistaking the beliefs on display in these accusations, most recently in regard to the mosque about to be erected 600 feet from Ground Zero. Which is that without the civilizing dictates of their superiors in government, ordinary Americans are lost to reason and decency. They are the kind of people who—as a recent presidential candidate put it—cling to their guns and their religion.


There is no better exemplar of that faith than New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, though in this he is hardly alone. Compared with the Obama White House, Mr. Bloomberg is a piker in the preachments and zealotry department. Still, no voice brings home more unforgettably the attitudes that speak for today’s enlightened and progressive class.

Greenlight for Islamic Supremacism

On Tuesday morning, the New York City Landmarks Commission, as expected, voted unanimously to deny landmark status to 45 Park Place, thus clearing the way for the demolition of the building currently there and the construction of the Islamic supremacist mega-mosque at Ground Zero.

The Commission swept aside calls to landmark the Burlington Coat Factory building for its historical significance: into it crashed the landing gear from one of the 9/11 planes. It ignored appeals to do this despite the fact that buildings of far lesser historical significance, like the Triangle Shirtwaist Company and the Stonewall Inn, have been designated as landmarks in New York. Never mind also that other buildings in the area that are architecturally similar have been landmarked. Who cares? Muslims need a triumphal mega-mosque at Ground Zero (and that is certainly how this mosque will be understood in the Islamic world, despite the deceptive moderate protestations of mosque organizers)! Make way!

Until the mosque is actually built, however, the game isn’t over — and with an increasing number of prominent politicians coming out against the mega-mosque, it can still be won in the court of public opinion.

Fighting Overseas, Appeasing in America

For years, in Afghanistan and Iraq, American servicemen and women have risked and sacrificed their lives to reduce the threat of murderous Islamists. There have been other operations in the larger Middle Eastern theater all of which have had the same goal: shrink the threat of radical Islam that has targeted America and Americans.

There is, however, a strange disconnect between the war on terrorists and terroristic threats abroad and the battle against softer voiced Islamists here in America. Feisal Abdul Rauf, Imam of the Ground Zero Islamic community center is a case in point. The cleric has certainly not screeched out radical hate, but he has two distinct messages, one for Muslims the other for non-Muslims. To Muslims he makes it clear that he wants to promulgate Islam and Shariah Law a few hundred feet from where the towers fell. To non-Muslims his words are all peace and love.

Imam Rauf does not think Hamas is a terrorist group. He has said so publically. Yet, Hamas remains on the US State Department’s list of terrorist organizations. While he has quietly demurred on the question of interfaith relativity to the American audience, to the Muslim audience the message has been clear: the Islamic community center will be a point for the promulgation of Shariah Law. Interfaith activity may be mentioned, but never observed in reality. A look at Shariah Law makes is clear why there can never be an interfaith dialog.

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich may be the most notable public figure in some time to state the obvious: radical Islam is a clear and present danger to America.

In a speech last week at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, Gingrich said, “This is not a war on terrorism … this is a struggle with radical Islamists.” The problem, he said, is that too many leaders are “sleepwalking” and won’t face the threat.
Ask yourself: if you wanted to infiltrate a country, wouldn’t a grand strategy be to rapidly build mosques from Ground Zero in New York to Temecula, Calif., and establish beachheads so fanatics could plan and advance their strategies under the cover of religious freedom and that great American virtue known as “tolerance,” which is being used against us?

The best people to consult on such matters are those with the life experiences and knowledge to credibly comment on the subject. After all, we can’t expect those who wish to destroy us to tell the truth, can we? Except that they do tell it by their words and deeds throughout much of the world. The problem isn’t that they’re not telling. The problem is that too many are imprisoned in denial.

To wit: Landmark Vote Opens Door to Ground Zero Mosque.

The Ground Zero Mosque is designed as a monument to the supremacy of Islam.

It is designed as a sign to Muslims everywhere that Islam will triumph over the Judeo-Christian West.

Islam is and has always been an imperialistic doctrine. Wherever it takes root, mosques are built higher than Synagogues and Churches. In fact, one of the most vile practices of Islam is to take sacred Jewish or Christian ground and colonize it for Islam.

The Temple Mount in Jerusalem is a perfect example.

It is Har-Habayit, the location of the Jewish Temples. But the Islamic armies conquered Jerusalem and immediately set about building a Mosque. Now, Jews are forbidden entrance.

That is the plan for the Mosque at Ground Zero.

The Imam and his wife—stealth jihadists with strong ties to The Muslim Brotherhood—use the language of tolerance to hide their true intentions. They will build the Mosque—with terrorist money—and then, before you know it, the area will gradually be transformed into a forbidden zone for non-Muslims. Like those streets of fire in France or Holland where even the police dare not enter.

Women who are not draped in shmattes will be spat upon and beaten.

Jews and Christians will take their lives in their hand in this new neighborhood.

Mayor Bloomberg and the other quislings who invoke freedom of religion are a bunch of useful idiots.

Tolerance of the intolerant is not a virtue.

It is suicide.
