How Far Do We Go In Appeasing Savagery?

As to those conservatives admonishing Pastor Jones for putting our civilians and soldiers in danger for offending muslims by burning the koran, why stop there? It’s likely all the talk against the ground zero mosque is also perceived by muslims around the world as anti-muslim hatred. Perhaps that’s putting our soldiers in further danger? It may even be the reason there’s been an increase in American casualties in Afghanistan in recent months. So why not just change your minds and come out publicly in support of the ground zero mosque? That has as much logic.

As for General Patraeus, this is the same genuis who proclaimed Jews living and building in Jerusalem put American soldiers in danger. So why not advocate dismantling Jewish communities in eastern Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria? Patraeus is just another useless Pentagon bureaucrat really responsible for putting our soldiers in danger because they are more concerned with winning hearts and minds and placating muslim sensitivities than winning the war. Case in point are the CIA agents who were blown up in their tent because they didn’t want to insult the feelings of muslims by frisking an informant who turned out to be working against us. Sensitivity toward muslim feelings is precisely what is getting our people killed, not burning korans or any other perceived insult.

I happen to have had the misfortune of coming across part of Monica Crowley filling in for Bill O’ Reilly last night. She not only admonished Pastor Jones as an anti-muslim bigot for going ahead with burning the koran but also because he made t-shirts which proclaimed “islam is of the devil”. How exactly would Crowley describe an ideology which sanctions beheadings, female genital mutilation, “honor” murders, stonings, murdering unbelievers etc.? Then she had on this little leftist priest who I recognized as someone who defended the jihad flotilla back in June on Hannity. I didn’t bother to watch the rest of the show as I am now completely disgusted with the putrid Crowley.

I think some of her brother-in-law’s liberal stupidity has rubbed off on her. She’s as much an appeaser as any of the liberals she condemns. Does she really believe the jihadists perceive her as any less of an anti-muslim bigot as Jones? After all, she opposes the ground zero islamic supremacist mosque.

The bottom line is that we cannot allow threats of violence to dictate what we say and how we behave. Pastor Jones cannot give in now because the barbarians will see it as a victory. They will know that their threats of violence frightened us into submission and there will be no end to violence and threats of violence to stop any criticism of islam or anything else they don’t like.
