Koran Burning Controversy

As to the controversy over the koran burning, this is free expression. Muslims burn churches, bibles etc., incite to hate and kill infidels. Not to mention the vile hatred expressed towards Jews. Christians and Jews do not respond with violence whenever they are offended. The liberals declare that burning the American flag, putting a crucifix in urine with taxpayer funding, no less, is all protected speech and expression, but get self-righteous over koran burning. This isn't about respect for islam but about fearing the reaction of muslims. As to liberals claiming such an act will radicalize moderate muslims, how absurd. Any muslims who are so easily provoked to commit violence weren't moderate and peaceful in the first place. Why should islam be respected when muslims do not respect us? When are we going to demand respect FROM muslims toward us. I'm sick of the one-way street favoring muslims which our own government is enabling. Just about everything we do offends radical muslims, so where do we draw the line? Pastor Jones cannot give in now. But if the muslims perpetrate violence as a result of the koran burning, the pastor will be blamed. It's time muslim jihadists be held accountable for their own barbarism.

As to General Patraeus's remarks, a general in the United States army should not be publicly displaying fear. Pastor Jones isn't endangering our troops, the jihadists are as well as our rules of engagement. Too bad we don't have the kind of hard-nosed generals we had during WW2 who didn't give a crap if the enemy was offended.

If Pastor Jones is forced to cave then the jihadists will see this as a victory to which further demands will be made. Perhaps we should just stop eating pork, drinking alcohol and American women should veil ourselves because this offends the islamic jihadists as well. We cannot give in over threats of violence. All this reaction is simply proving Pastor Jones' point, that islam is the only religion we have to fear. Nobody was afraid that Christians were going to go on a violent rampage because of a crucifix in urine. Liberals not only defended that but also defended the use of taxpayer money for it. As far as liberals are concerned only the religious sensibilities of muslims matter. Whereas they delight in offending Christians and Jews because they know there will not be violent consequences. Liberals are hypocrites and cowards.

If the pastor Jones doesn't go through with it we will at some point be attacked anyway. They don't need an excuse. It's like liberals were saying we shouldn't go to war because that will enflame the muslim world and we will be attacked. Of course we weren't at war when 9/11 happened.
