Liberals Blame Bibi Instead of Israel's Enemies

Typical "blame Israel first" editorial from a Jewish liberal. Liberals refuse to deal with reality regarding Israel's implacable enemies.

Via Israpundit:
Digging in, the essence of Netanyahu’s foreign policy

The years-long diplomatic effort to integrate Israel as an accepted neighbor in the Middle East collapsed this week, with the expulsion of the Israeli ambassadors from Ankara and Cairo, and the rushed evacuation of the embassy staff from Amman. This is the lowest point in Israeli foreign policy since the groundbreaking visit to Jerusalem by Egyptian President Anwar Sadat in 1977. The region is spewing out the Jewish state, which is increasingly shutting itself off behind fortified walls, under a leadership that refuses any change, movement or reform and is dealing with debacle after debacle.

That Israel is not an accepted neighbor in the Middle East is solely due to the hatred of Jews on the part of its neighbors, not because of Bibi’s foreign policy decisions. Any change, movement or reform on the part of Bibi's foreign policy will not make a difference. There is nothing Israel can do to appease those who believe it is their divine duty to destroy the Jewish state.

Israel is entering the looming confrontation with the Palestinians isolated, weak and abhorred by the international community.

The international community abhorres Israel because the international community lacks a moral compass, is anti-Semitic, is terrified of muslims and is angry that Israel refuses to placate the muslim world by committing suicide. The international community believes that making Israel a sacrificial lamb will satisfy the bloodlust of the muslim world and therefore keep their own countries safe.

Aluf Benn is a typical Jewish liberal who lacks pride or self-respect and grovels to anti-Semites and wants the Jewish state to do the same.

Read the whole thing.

"Israel is entering the looming confrontation with the Palestinians isolated, weak and abhorred by the international community."

Isolated? Certainly.

Weak? By choice. Israeli leadership has chosen the path of appeasement, an approach that is inherently weak.

Abhorred by the international community? It was forever thus. Jews have always been abhorred.

What Benn fails to appreciate is that the only variable subject to change is the "weak" part, and he is a vocal advocate of more weakness, not less.

Aluf, how could Anne Frank have better ingratiated herself to the Gestapo? As Egyptians march through the streets of Cairo demanding that Jews return to the ovens, what is the skillfully phrased apology that would set things right? How much forfeiture of Israeli land would convince Hezbollah to renounce its stated objective of killing every Jew on Earth?

You seem to have the answers that would make Israel popular with the world's Jew haters, Aluf. Don't be selfish. Share them.

But spare us your leftist bullshit about how returning to the 1967 borders will create peace. Your Arab buddies launched three Wars of Annihilation when those boundaries were in effect. Those boundaries provoke Muslims to murder Jews, Aluf.

Even the self-hating ones.

We are left to wonder exactly what Anne Frank did to provoke the Jew haters into killing her. Were her armpits insufficiently minty fresh? Was she occupying Palestinian land? What made her so very "abhorrent", to use your word, Aluf?

Relevant question, because it is the same factor that makes Israel "abhorrent" today.

I have another question for you, Aluf - why doesn't your beloved world community find Sudan abhorrent? Sudan murdered more Muslims in one week than Israel has killed (in self-defense) in six decades. Why doesn't Sudan merit being abhorred by THE WORLD? Too Gentile?

Liberal Jews.

Can't live with them.

Can live without them.
