Singer Alanis Morissette will grace an Israeli concert stage tonight, a simple act which artists like Stevie Wonder have turned down in recent weeks for political reasons. The “Ironic” singer, a seven-time Grammy winner, is due to stage a concert in Tel Aviv on Monday, for the first time since a show in Israel in 2000. But the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel is urging her to cancel at the last minute, because of the Israeli political situation.Morissette quickly started receiving Twitter-based hate for allegedly supporting an “apartheid” state.
Musicians are frequently pressured against playing Israeli concerts with mixed results. Singer Elton John has played Israel while ignoring the shrieks of pro-Palestinian groups, while Elvis Costello cancelled his own gigs to protest the treatment of Palestinians by the Jewish state.

Singer Defies Anti-Israel Mob
Just as we need to boycott anti-Israel celebrities, it is equally necessary to support those who show their support for Israel by performing there. Good for Alanis for defying the anti-Israel mob. Israel is the only country in the region which is NOT an apartheid state. How perverse are these degenerates to target Israel for boycotts but not the actual apartheid and sharia ruled states in the region.
