Chechen women in mortal fear as president backs Islamic honor killings By Diana Markosian - Special to The Washington Times Sunday, April 29, 2012 Enlarge Photo A man and a woman on a date in the village of Serzhen-Yurt in Chechnya sit on opposite ends of a bench. Couples on dates must meet in public and sit a distance from each other. All physical contact is forbidden before marriage. Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov supports honor killings for women with “loose morals.” (Diana Markosian/Special to The Washington Times) ACHXOY-MARTAN, Chechnya — Chechnya's government is openly approving of families that kill female relatives who violate their sense of honor, as this Russian republic embraces a fundamentalist interpretation of Islam after decades of religious suppression under Soviet rule. In the past five years, the bodies of dozens of young Chechen women have been found dumped in woods, abandoned in alleys and left along roads in the capital, Grozny, and neighboring villages. Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov publicly announced that the dead women had “loose morals” and were rightfully shot by male relatives. He went on to describe women as the property of their husbands, and said their main role is to bear children. “If a woman runs around and if a man runs around with her, both of them should be killed,” said Mr. Kadyrov, who often has stated his goal of making Chechnya “more Islamic than the Islamists.” In today’s Chechnya, alcohol is all but banned, Islamic dress codes are enforced and polygamous marriages are supported by the government. Some observers say Mr. Kadyrov’s attempt to impose Islamic law violates the Russian Constitution, which guarantees equal rights for women and a separation of church and state. “We are a traditional, conservative society, but the government has gone overboard,” said Lipkhan Bazaeva, head of the Women's Dignity Center, a nongovernmental organization promoting women’s rights in Grozny. “They are declaring unacceptable limits on women — as an individual, she has no rights even if her husband beats her, despite Russian laws.” Though observers agree that honor killings are on the rise in Chechnya, the issue remains largely taboo among locals — making official statistics hard to come by. “You hear about these cases almost every day,” said a local human rights defender, who asked that her name not be used out of fear for her safety. “It is hard for me to investigate this topic, yet I worked on it with [human rights activist] Natasha [Estemirova] for a while. But, I can’t anymore. I am too scared now. I’ve almost given up, really.” Estemirova, who angered Chechen authorities with reports of torture, abductions and extrajudicial killings, was found in the woods in 2009 in the neighboring region of Ingushetia with gunshot wounds to the head and chest. Her killer or killers have not been found. Few dare to openly challenge Mr. Kadyrov’s rule. But activists say some young Muslim women do so surreptitiously, placing themselves in a constant tug of war between two value systems. Milana, a ninth-grader in Grozny, wears thick eyeliner, dons tight miniskirts, smokes cigarettes and dates boys: all things a proper Muslim girl is forbidden to do in Chechnya. She said she has heard it from her father countless times: A Chechen girl who loses her virginity before marriage is a prostitute, and Allah will punish her.continue reading

To those who say "honor" murders are a "cultural" thing having nothing to do with islam, what culture would that be? "Honor" murders occur frequently within disparate cultures, nationalities and ethnicities. The one common denominator amongst countries where "honor" murders are prevelant is that they are all islamic. And here we see that the ones enforcing these "honor" codes explicitly stating it is in the name of islam.

Another example of Israel's mistreatment, depravation and oppression of the palestinians. This is not a story you will see on 60 Minutes, the BBC etc. They only report lies and blood libels against Israel. To all the demonic liars, demonizers, delegitimizers, boycotters and agitators, this is not what a "racist", "apartheid" state does. Israel Hayom:
Bringing up baby Israeli doctors and nurses have cared for Rukia Burgel, a Palestinian baby born with a heart defect in Nablus, since birth • “It’s hard when someone else is with your child every day, but these people warm my heart,” her father, Mohammed, says. That person is neither her mother nor her father, but hospital nurses, male and female. They are angels in white and green scrubs who calm her down, ease her pain, make her laugh and give her a hug when they can. She has been here since she was 10 days old, in the intensive care unit of Edmond and Lily Safra Children’s Hospital at the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer. She arrived in grave danger with a birth defect in her heart, and was hooked up to a respirator. Only today, at the age of 2 years and four months, does Rukia breathe on her own for a few hours a day. Her world begins and ends inside three white walls and one glass wall that faces the nurses’ station. The playpen, which is made of metal, features little scratch marks – reminders of the time when Rukia was teething and tried to bite the bars to ease the pain. Rukia was born in Nablus to Mohammed and Nibeen Burgel. Since birth, she has suffered from a heart defect that prevented her airway from developing normally. After her birth, Rukia was sent to the hospital for life-saving surgery, but in the end she remained dependent on a respirator to survive. She has been here since – for two years and four months – in Room 7. The 10 staff members, who for all intents and purposes have raised her, are always there for her, at all hours of the day and night. They lift her from her bed when she wakes up crying, sometimes caress her and sing her a comforting song, change her diaper and take care of the respirator. She has many fathers and mothers, because her actual parents are not here very often. During the first months of Rukia’s life, when she lay unconscious, her father, Mohammed, stayed to sleep in the hospital’s parents’ room every night. Today, he comes from Nablus three times a week. He has an entry permit into Israel that he needs to renew once a month, and to arrive by 10 a.m., he passes through the Qalqilya checkpoint at 6 a.m. and hitchhikes to the hospital. Sometimes he is delayed at the checkpoint, and sometimes at the hospital entrance. To return home at noon, he rides on the bus for laborers from the Palestinian territories. Rukia’s mother, Nibeen, whose youngest child, Wasfia, is a healthy 9-month-old girl, comes only rarely because of the distance and the difficulty in getting there. During her pregnancy, she hardly went to the hospital for fear of infection. They also have a 3-and-a-half-year-old son, Hamad. In the room next door is a 3-month-old baby who suffers from a similar ailment and is also connected to a respirator. But he will be going home in coming days. If Rukia lived inside the Green Line, she too would have been able to return home long ago. But Nablus does not have the required medical equipment that could provide her with immediate treatment if her lungs were to collapse and she was unable to breathe on her own. Against her will, she has become everybody’s baby. Every single doctor and nurse, without exception, showers her with love. “There’s something charming about this little girl, who has become part of everyone’s routine,” says the director of the department, Dr. Amir Vardi. “This is where she learned to turn over, to hold a pacifier, to sit and walk as she pushes furniture or the respirator. She has become part of our lives.” Last year, a play area was added to her room. It features a baby swing, a play mat, a toy walker and lots of stuffed animals that are arranged in a line along the windowsill. She has a long way to go before she can go home. In the meantime she is here, and nobody can say until when.continue reading

Under the Reign of Foxman, the ADL has evolved from its origins of protecting the interests of the Jewish people to advancing the agenda of the Jewish people's worst enemies. It has become more concerned with fighting phantom "islamophobia", supporting the building of muslim brotherhood tied mosques and interfaith dialogue with Jew-hating jihadists while denouncing Jews who warn about the greatest threat to the Jewish people today.
The ADL Must Be Stopped By Charles Jacobs & Ilya Feoktistov, AMERICAN THINKER The Jewish community’s largest “defense” organization, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), has adopted a policy, consistent with the progressive agenda, not to speak up much about the global tsunami of Muslim anti-Semitism, but instead to campaign against “Islamophobia.” This while FBI statistics show that hate crimes against Jews in America are five times the number of hate crimes against Muslims. The rationale for this policy, as the ADL’s chief, Abe Foxman, told the Boston Jewish Advocate, is that “[y]ou can’t fight the fight against anti-Semitism without fighting against bigotry. … You cannot ask people to stand with you unless you are ready to stand with them.” But in cities across America, Foxman’s policy has led the ADL to stand with people and organizations whose mission it is to defame and harm Jews. To defend its policy of “outreach,” the Anti-Defamation League vigorously defames as “bigots” citizens who question radical Islamists’ true aims. This pattern of allying with Muslim anti-Semites to fight “Islamophobia” and then defaming legitimately concerned citizens can be clearly seen in three cases: 1. Detroit Imam Mustapha Elturk spoke at an interfaith event on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks at Congregation Shaarey Tzedek, a synagogue with a proud and longstanding pro-Israel reputation. According to locals, the ADL branch in Detroit blessed the invitation — ignoring reports (available on ADL’s own website) that Elturk’s group — the Islamic Organization of North America — has a history of anti-Semitism. The ADL has an annual $55M budget; presumably some of it is used to seek out enemies of the Jewish people. But any unfunded but curious citizen could have found on Elturk’s own website (it was on his homepage) the following sermon:continue reading

Forward this to the bastards at 60 Minutes and the rest of the cretins in the msm. That Israel would be the target for hatred, demonization and delegitimazation from the media, academia and western governments while they ignore the massive numbers of horrific atrocities against Christians in muslim countries, only shows that the west is in the grip of madness. Via Israpundit:
Muslim Persecution of Christians: March, 2012 "It is necessary to destroy all the churches of the region." Saudi Grand Mufti by Raymond Ibrahim April 25, 2012 at 5:00 am The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, one of the Islamic world's highest religious authorities, declared that it is "necessary to destroy all the churches of the region." The war on Christianity and its adherents in the Muslim world rages on. In March alone, Saudi Arabia's highest Islamic legal authority decreed that churches in the region must be destroyed; jihadis [holy warriors] in Nigeria said they "are going to put into action new efforts to strike fear into the Christians of the power of Islam by kidnapping their women"; American teachers in the Middle East were murdered for being Christian or talking about Christianity; churches were banned or bombed, and nuns terrorized by knife-wielding Muslim mobs. Christians continue to be attacked, arrested, imprisoned, and killed for allegedly "blaspheming" Islam's prophet Muhammad; former Muslims continue to be attacked, arrested, imprisoned, and killed for converting to Christianity. The extent of this persecution is virtually unknown in the West, due to the mainstream media's well-documented biases: the mainstream media knows that if they do not ignore or at best whitewash the nonstop persecution of Christians under Islam, their narrative of Islam as the "religion of peace" would be quickly undermined. Last month alone, the New York Times ran an anti-Catholic ad, but refused to publish a nearly identical ad directed at Islam; the BBC admitted it mocks Jesus but will never mock Muhammad; and U.S. sitcoms have been exposed as bashing Christianity, but never Islam. Categorized by theme, March's batch of Muslim persecution of Christians around the world includes, but is not limited to, the following accounts, listed in alphabetical order by country, not severity:continue reading

Again this would be completely unacceptable if this were any other group but Jews being targeted for mockery and disdain, especially those minority groups which liberals give protective status to, like blacks, muslims, gays and hispanics. As with the che guevara and charles manson t-shirts and the kaffiyas, the fashion industry is turning something evil into a "cool" fashion statement for youth. It's monstrous. Atlas:

This is the MBO of the left/Islamic coalition in America. The banality of evil. Leave it to Jewish liberals to defend a Jew-hater. Despite Mel Gibson's many antisemitic rants, Hollywood Jews rally to his side again. Everyone deserves a second chance? Well Gibson has been given multiple chances. Had he ranted even once, let alone multiple times against blacks, Hispanics, gays or muslims, his career would have been over long ago. But since unJewish liberals lack any self-respect, Gibson can continue spewing out antisemitic tirades with impunity.
Hollywood Jews back Gibson on ‘Judah Maccabee’ Wednesday, April 25, 2012 Click here to read the original article in The Jerusalem Post The Jerusalem Post By JTA / Dana Kennedy Jews run Hollywood, the old cliche goes. So an outsider might find it strange that one of Hollywood’s biggest studios, Warner Bros., agreed to make a movie about one of the Jewish world’s greatest heroes with a star known for going on anti-Semitic tirades. And when the plans to film “Judah Maccabee” fell apart this month, igniting a feud between producer Mel Gibson and screenwriter Joe Eszterhas that involved more accusations of anti-Semitism, Hollywood again went for Mel. A cross-section of industry figures interviewed by JTA — all of them Jewish and a number of whom come from families who survived the Holocaust or fled the Nazis — overwhelmingly defended Gibson over the Hungarian-born Eszterhas. Veteran producer Mike Medavoy, whose parents fled to Shanghai in the 1920s to escape the Russian pogroms, has known Gibson and Eszterhas for decades. Both have “issues,” he said, but he has a softer spot for Gibson. “I really believe that everyone deserves a second chance,” Medavoy said. “I want to give Mel the benefit of the doubt. I think Mel’s problem is he’s a little immature and can’t handle his anger.” Alan Nierob, Gibson’s longtime publicist and the son of Holocaust survivors, has always stood by his client. The loyalty to Gibson of some in Hollywood comes despite the controversy over his controversial portrayal of Jews in the 2004 film “The Passion of the Christ,” his rant against Jews following a drunk driving arrest in 2006, and his violent threats and accusations against an ex-girlfriend that were leaked online in 2010. Also that year, Jewish actress Winona Ryder said that Gibson had called her an “oven dodger” at a party in the mid-1990s.continue reading

Morally bankrupt bastards over at the BBC. That the western media and left as a whole would support the genocidal savages over the tiny, embattled, beseiged, peaceful, generous, free and extremely productive Jewish state, shows the extent of the free world's moral degeneration. Arutz Sheva:

He is the Chairman of the Board of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. ► More from this writer From 2001-2006, Trevor Asserson a leading British litigation lawyer, has undertaken six well-documented studies detailing the BBC’s systematic bias against Israel. These may be found at www.bbcwatch.com. His methodology can also be used to analyze other media. He states: “The BBC’s coverage of the Middle East is infected by an apparent widespread antipathy toward Israel. This distorted media reporting creates an atmosphere in which anti-Semitism can thrive. I felt the BBC should be analyzed because its significant influence on public opinion is combined with a unique obligation to produce ‘impartial’ news.” Asserson heads an Israeli law firm. Before coming to Israel, he was a senior international litigation partner in the London office of one of the world's largest law firms. A sserson continues: “The BBC’s monopoly derives from a legally binding contract with the British government. It has fifteen legal obligations under its charter, which include among others: fairness, respect for truth, due accuracy, attachment to fundamental democratic principles, not broadcasting their own opinions on current affairs or public policy, ensuring that opposing views are not misrepresented, and not letting the audience gauge reporters’ personal views.continue reading
This is an outrage. I'm glad I never watch 60 minutes. Christians are being persecuted and slaughtered throughout the muslim world and they choose to focus a segment on the supposed plight of Christians in Israel, the only country in the region where Christians are free to worship and do not face persecution. In fact Israel is a safe haven for Christians and other non-muslims in the region. I can just imagine the impression Americans who watched that show now have of Israel. But then again, that was precisely the purpose, to turn Americans against Israel. Israeli medical advances are helping people throughout the world. Organizations like Save a Heart among many others are providing free medical care for people around the world regardless of background. Israel also comes to the aid of other countries who have suffered from natural disasters. You might think such stories about Israel would get media play, but those don't fit the lying narrative of what the left wants to convey about Israel. Make no mistake, the msm has no interest in simply reporting facts but in promoting an anti-American, anti-Israel pro-islamic supremacist agenda. The msm cannot ever be trusted. In fact they are the enemy. These are the same swine which did a hatchet job on George Zimmerman by editing audio and video tapes and leaving out vital information about the incident in order to convict him in the court of public opinion and create racial discord. And now he cannot get a fair trial.

As Islamic terrorists have stepped up their attacks against Christians, we are witnessing the collapse of the ancient Christian communities of Iraq, Egypt and Syria. .. Israel has options to overcome loss of Egyptian gas By Ari Rabinovitch | Reuters – Mon, Apr 23, 2012... . JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel's energy sector will be hurt in the short term by Egypt's decision to stop selling it natural gas, but the country has been weaning itself off the once-crucial supplies and has a number of contingency plans that will lessen the impact. Sunday's announcement that Egyptian state-owned oil and gas companies would stop the gas sales, which were part of a 20-year deal, was the dramatic conclusion to a year of sabotage and pipeline attacks that had already disrupted supplies.continue reading

You may think that feminist activism would be focused on "honor" murders, female genital mutilation and all sorts of other human rights atrocities inflicted against women and girls occurring in the muslim world. However they have chosen to focus on what they consider to be among the most serious danger to woman and girls.....Lego.
LEGOs for girls has feminist group in a twist By Joshua Rhett Miller Published April 20, 2012 FoxNews.com The new “Lego Friends” line rolled out in December features LadyFigs, curvier takeoffs on the traditional boxy figurines that live in a place called Heartlake City. Shown above is a set depicting "Stephanie's Outdoor Bakery." (LEGO.com) A feminist group has identified the enemy, and it is ... LEGOs? The Danish company behind the interlocking plastic building blocks loved by children since 1949 has a meeting set for Friday with a Brooklyn group ticked off with LEGOs product line designed to appeal to girls. The new “LEGO Friends” rolled out in December featuring LadyFigs, curvier takeoffs on the traditional boxy LEGO men. Construction sets include a hot tub, a splash pool, a beauty parlor, an outdoor bakery and a “cool convertible," as well as an inventor's workshop. But the SPARK Movement objects to the "LadyFigs," the female version of the little figures who man the spaceships, trucks and forts children create. "Ladyfigs" are somewhat anatomically correct, which hypersexualizes girls, according to the group. "They have little breasts and they have fancy hair," the organization's executive director, Dana Edell, told FoxNews.com. "And it just disturbs us that this is the image that they want girls to see." Edell also objects to what she calls stereotyping of preferred pastimes for girls. "What it's doing is telling girls that this is what's important to you," Edell said of the beauty parlor and hot tub sets. "Girls aren't building space shuttles, they're getting their nails done." But not everyone thinks LEGOs for girls should have parents ready to snap. Note to those in the anti-Israel BDS movement. Should you get a stroke, heart disease, cancer or any other life-threatening illness, I'm sure you'd be more than willing to forgo any treatment developed in Israel for your cause. Israeli Drug Could Save Stroke Victims:
Synthetic peptide significantly enhances the only currently approved drug to get blood flow moving to the brain after a stroke. By Karin Kloosterman March 26, 2012, No Comments Thrombotech CEO Ruth Ben-Yakar. Could a new Israeli treatment help save millions of people from death and severe disability after a stroke? The six-person team of the recently funded company Thrombotech believes they have a fighting chance. Their new drug amplifies the effects of one of the only existing stroke medications on the market, while preventing dangerous side effects. There is a critical window of time needed to get to the hospital if you are having a stroke. If it is an ischemic stroke, meaning an artery to the brain is blocked, doctors must get the blood flowing to the brain quickly. The only approved treatment for this today is an enzyme called tPA. If given within three hours, tPA dissolves the blood clots blocking the flow of blood to the brain. However, it can be used in just 10 percent of cases and can cause life-threatening side effects such as hemorrhaging. Yet except for tPA, there isn’t much in a doctor’s arsenal for fighting the serious effects of strokes, which are the leading cause of disability in the world and the third leading cause of death in the United States after cancer and heart disease. This is precisely the unmet market need, worth about $3 billion per year, that Ness Ziona-based Thrombotech is targeting.continue reading Israel Hayom: Heartening news for cardiac patients
Just in case you had any doubts that Jew-hatred is at the core of all anti-Israel "activism". Israel Hayom:
'Flightilla' activists draw swastika in holding cell Some 57 activists, mostly French citizens, who flew to Israel as part of pro-Palestinian fly-in Sunday still being held in Israel, and are refusing deportation • Vandalism particularly distressing as it comes days before Holocaust Memorial Day. Shlomo Cesana The swastika in the holding cell. The swastika in the holding cell. Two days before Israelis collectively remember the millions of Jews who were murdered in the Holocaust on Holocaust Memorial Day, two radical left-wing activists who were arrested at Ben-Gurion International Airport on Sunday during the so-called "flightilla" protest, drew a swastika on the wall of their holding cell on Monday. The activists were from France and Spain respectively. Fifty-seven pro-Palestinian activists, who flew to Israel on Sunday to demonstrate en masse, are still being held in Israeli facilities. Most of them are French citizens being held at Givon prison near Ramle. They had refused to board return flights back to their country of origin, but measures have been taken to forcibly deport them. The "flightilla" ended with little more than a whimper on Sunday. Hundreds of police troops were deployed at the airport beginning Saturday night in anticipation of the first batch of flights carrying activists. Thanks to prior intelligence, specific flights were told to taxi to an evacuated Terminal 1, which normally serves domestic travelers. A large contingent of police officers awaited the passengers in the arrival hall. Meanwhile, dozens of policemen, backed by Border Police troops and the Police Central District's special patrol units (Yasam), were deployed to Terminal 3. Their task was two-fold: to prevent clashes between right-wing activists such as Baruch Marzel (known for his extreme anti-Arab views) and their left-wing counterparts such as Yonatan Shapira (a former soldier who has been critical of Israeli policy), both of whom had gathered at the terminal with other activists; the second task was to prevent foreign would-be demonstrators who had been allowed entry from staging a provocation at the arrival hall. The pro-Palestinian protest was meant to draw attention to how Israel controls access to Palestinian areas. The Palestinians claim for a future state the West Bank, east Jerusalem, and Gaza Strip, all captured by Israel in the 1967 Six-Day War. Visitors can only reach the West Bank through Israeli-controlled land crossings or Israeli airports, though at any given time, hundreds of foreigners, including activists, are in the territory. Last July, Israel blocked a similar fly-in campaign, preventing dozens of people from boarding Tel Aviv-bound flights in Europe and denying entry to 69 people.

The islamic regime in north Sudan is waging a war of extermination against the Christian South. The UN accuses the victims of jihad as being an "occupying" force. Where have we heard that before? Atlas:
Sudan’s president, Omar al-Bashir, Thursday declared war on South Sudan, vowing to topple its government. The move comes after Sudan’s parliament passed a resolution branding South Sudan’s ruling party an enemy that “must be fought until it is defeated.” Sudan and South Sudan are embroiled in the worst clashes along their poorly defined border since the secession of the South last summer. The United Nations Security Council is considering sanctions on both countries in an attempt to end the violence, and demanded South Sudanese forces withdraw from their occupation of the 60,000-barrels-a-day oil field Heglig oil field. Both countries continue to ignore calls to end the fighting. On a visit Thursday to the oil-rich, restive border state of South Kordofan, Bashir rallied his troops, which are now engaged on three fronts with South Sudan. “Heglig isn’t the end, it is the beginning, and we shall go all the way to [South Sudanese capital] Juba,” Bashir told a rally. South Sudan’s army spokesman, Col. Philip Aguer, dismissed Bashir’s threat, saying that the South’s army would keep Sudan’s aggression at bay. “If they didn’t defeat us when we were a green army, how will they defeat us now,” he said. Sudan and South Sudan have been at odds for 20 years, a time that included two civil wars believed to have claimed the lives of more than two million people. The South’s secession left several issues unresolved, including how to share oil revenue and production between the reserve-rich South and the north, center of refineries, ports and other infrastructure. Battles around Heglig continued Thursday, with Sudanese planes continuing aerial bombardments, damaging oil wells and buildings, according to Col. Aguer. South Sudan said it repulsed a Sudanese ground attack on Heglig Wednesday evening, forcing Sudanese troops to retreat to Kersana, some 40 kilometers north of the oil field. Troops also engaged around Bahr el Ghazal and South Sudan captured a base used by Sudan to train militias. These claims couldn’t be verified independently. Both countries accuse each other of sponsoring proxy rebels in the others territory. Bashir accuses the South of implementing the agenda of foreign countries which backed its secession bid, at the expense of its own people. South Sudan has called for talks to end the current dispute, with Information Minister Barnaba Benjamin saying that its people would never look at Sudan as its enemy due to their “long history and long common border.” Many say hard-liners with a history of taking rigid negotiating positions seem to be running the show in both Sudan and South Sudan, a situation that may stymie attempts for a peaceful settlement of post secession disputes.
Why do these traitors keep releasing photos and videos of our soldiers in these situations? I don't fret over our soldiers "disrespectful" treatment of terrorists whether dead or alive. And I wish officials would shut up about it instead of apologizing.
LA Times: No Prob Releasing Photos That Kill US Soldiers, But Won’t Release Video of Obama w/ HAMASnik By Debbie Schlussel Take note: the Los Angeles Times has no problem with releasing photos that will lead to the murder of more American soldiers. Mr. President, your proclamation of 'never again' rings hollow as you allow the modern day nazis in Tehran to acquire nuclear weapons and instead act to prevent Israel from taking preemptive military action against Iran's nuclear facilities. Your words ring hollow as you pressure Israel to surrender territory to the modern day nazis in Ramallah and Gaza and demand Jews be forbidden to live in parts of their own homeland. I'm sick of phony western leaders who commemorate the holocaust and give lip service to 'never again' all the while enabling the modern day nazis genocidal war against Israel.
Obama: 'Never again' is more than an empty slogan In a statement released for Holocaust Remembrance day, U.S. President Barack Obama honors the 100th anniversary of the birth of Raoul Wallenberg, a Swedish diplomat who rescued thousands of Jews from the Nazi's in Hungary. "On this day, and all days, we must do more than remember. We must resolve that 'never again' is more than an empty slogan," Obama said. The U.S. president paid respect in his statement "to all who suffered in the Shoah—a horrific crime without parallel in human history." He recalled the 6 million men, women, and children "who were sent to their deaths simply because of their Jewish faith. We stand in awe of those who fought back, in the ghettos and in the camps, against overwhelming odds." Obama also honored the 100th anniversary of the birth of Raoul Wallenberg, a Swedish diplomat who rescued thousands of Jews from the Nazis in Hungary. "We are humbled by the rescuers who refused to be bystanders to evil," his statement read. "As individuals, we must guard against indifference in our hearts and recognize ourselves in our fellow human beings." Obama called on societies to stand against ignorance and anti-Semitism, and speak out against those who deny the Holocaust. "As nations, we must do everything we can to prevent and end atrocities in our time." He concluded by pledging to join Holocaust survivors and their families at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum on Monday to advance the issue. "This must be the work of us all, as nations and peoples who cherish the dignity of every human being," Obama said.

Israel's enemies kill and destroy and the Israelis heal people in the third world. The contrast between the good that Israel represents and the evil of her enemies couldn't be more stark. But who does the western left condemn, protest and agitate against, boycott and go on floatillas and flytillas to make trouble for? And who does the left ultimately seek to obliterate? It's unconscionable. Anti-Israel activism is nothing short of depraved and evil. MFA:
Israeli NGO saves sight in Ethiopia 19 Apr 2012 Eye from Zion expands its free cataract surgery clinics to northern Ethiopia, where 1,400 people awaited the medical crew. Eye from Zion personnel with potential eye surgery candidates in Ethiopia By Rivka Borochov When the seven-person crew from the Israeli volunteer organization Eye from Zion arrived in a remote region in Ethiopia in February to provide free cataract surgery, they were expecting several dozen patients. Instead, hordes of adults and children were waiting to receive the life-changing operation. And one young girl with a protruding eye was given a very special gift –– a medical trip to Israel. Eye from Zion personnel from Israel were flooded with potential eye surgery candidates in Ethiopia Using its proprietary mobile unit that encases the patient’s head in a sterile environment, Eye from Zion has already performed the 20-minute procedure on thousands of people in Asian and African countries. This time, the organization was asked by the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs to pay a visit to northern Ethiopia because so many people there are blinded by cataracts. Confronted with the unexpected mass of people, Eye from Zion founder Nati Marcus decided he would send no one away if he thought they could be helped. “They told us 70, and when we arrived there were 1,400 waiting for us. We sent 400 away immediately because there was nothing we could do -- some even had no eyes. But we knew there were about 1,000 we could help.” Eye from Zion’s unique mobile operating suite After an initial 170 operations in the regions of Debark and Gondar, plus training for a local nurse who had taken it upon herself to perform cataract operations, Marcus planned to return with another team of four eye doctors, a couple of nurses and a technician over the course of the year to finish the job for those on the waiting list. On March 17, a crew led by Prof. Dov Weinberger, head of ophthalmology at Rabin Medical Center, flew over with representatives from the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), which has on-the-ground staff in Ethiopia. “One thousand is an unbelievable number,” Marcus says. “We worked from morning to night with a local doctor from Ethiopia who helped us in the mobile operating room.” Ethiopian patients awaiting free cataract operations Marcus, a retired businessman, invented this unique surgical setup to overcome the problem of operating in remote locations. The contents of the unit were donated by Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer after Marcus founded Eye from Zion four years ago in order to share Israeli medical expertise and training to people in developing areas. A mission for a special girl Supported by MASHAV, Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation, the Foreign Ministry and volunteer medical personnel, as well as donations, Eye from Zion also enables doctors from around the world to network and share techniques that can advance medical treatment for improving sight in the developing world. Marcus always hopes that people who benefit from the training and the treatment will go on to become goodwill ambassadors for Israel and the Jewish people. One of those potential ambassadors is only 10 years old -- a girl named Kavda Imsak who underwent preliminary surgery in Ethiopia to remove a tumor behind her eye. Marcus and the Eye from Zion volunteer physicians insisted she be brought to Israel for further treatment since the tumor had pushed her eye out grotesquely. The JDC financed Kavda’s trip to Tel Hashomer as well as her treatment and hospital stay. This little girl was flown to Israel for more complicated eye surgery, free of charge “Everyone said, ‘You are stupid to bring this girl to Israel. She will die there.’ And I said, ‘No, we are going to save her life,’” Marcus recalls. “She is now recovering. In one month she will undergo some plastic surgery and will get a glass eye. And she is going to recover and we are going to send her home.” Marcus insists that no one at Eye from Zion receive any money for their services. “We have zero overhead,” he says. “We are going to the most rural areas with our mobile operating room. We can even carry it to the mountains. It is something very special.”

You see how incessant lies, blood libels and historical revisionism against Israel in the media and academia has poisoned European minds. They have an extremely warped perspective on the Middle East. Any rational person would know it is the Arab-muslims who are waging a war of extermination against Israel. They have been attempting to accomplish this since Israel was born, through multiple wars waged by Arab states or by proxy terrorist wars using the fakestinians. Or perhaps the euros are projecting their own history of exterminating the Jews onto the modern day Jewish state. Via Israpundit: Times of Israel:
40% in many European countries say Israel is waging ‘war of extermination’ on Palestinians Most Europeans feel Jews enrich their culture, new study finds, but large proportions of Poles and Hungarians believe Jews exploit Holocaust, have too much influence By RAPHAEL AHREN, TIMES OF ISRAEL Nearly three quarters of Polish citizens believe that the Jews seek to exploit the Holocaust. About 70 percent of Hungarians think Jews have too much influence in their country. And close to 40 percent of people in numerous European countries believe that Israel is waging “a war of extermination” against the Palestinians. These are among the findings of a major new study on bigotry in Europe, entitled “Intolerance, Prejudice and Discrimination,” published by the German-based Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The report, set to be formally presented in two weeks’ time but made available in the week that Israel marks Holocaust Remembrance Day, surveyed 8,000 people across the continent — 1,000 in each of eight countries. More than 30 percent of Poles strongly agree and 42 somewhat agree with the statement that “Jews try to take advantage of having been victims during the Nazi era,” the survey showed. In Hungary, 39% of responders agreed strongly and 29% somewhat agreed with that assertion. The study also sheds light on European attitudes toward the state of Israel and how these affect Jew hatred. ”About half the respondents in Portugal, Poland and Hungary see anti-Semitic sentiments as based on Israel’s political activities, while around 40% of respondents in most participating countries affirm the drastic assessment that the Israeli state is conducting a war of extermination against the Palestinians,” the study’s authors write. In Poland, the number of respondents who agree with the claim of an Israeli “war of extermination” is even higher, at 63%. Nearly half of the German respondents — 48% — agreed with the statement. The number was 49% in Portugal, 42% in Britain, 41% in Hungary, 39% in Holland and 38% in Italy. Asked if Jews have too much influence, about 70% of Hungarians, 50% of Poles and 20% of Germans agreed The Friedrich Ebert Foundation is affiliated with Germany’s main opposition Social Democratic Party. According to the Foundation, the study is the “very first to supply comprehensive and comparable data about the extent of prejudice and discrimination against the main target groups in eight selected European countries” — France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Portugal. In the Netherlands, for instance, fewer than 18% of respondents said Jews were trying to take advantage of their people’s suffering during the Shoah, while more than 40% strongly disagreed with that statement. However, nearly half of the German responders agreed with it (23% of them strongly and 26%) while less than 20% “strongly disagreed.” Asked if Jews have too much influence in their country, about 70% of Hungarians, 50% of Poles and 20% of Germans agreed. In the Netherlands – whose current foreign minister, Uri Rosenthal, is Jewish – 3.4% strongly agreed and 18 percent somewhat agreed. Thirty percent of German and 22% of British respondents agreed with the statement that “Jews in general do not care about anything or anyone but their own kind.” In Portugal, that number is even higher, at about 55%, according to the report. However, a majority in all surveyed countries agrees with the statement that Jews are an “enrichment” for their culture. “Anti-Semitism has a long and uniquely terrible history in Europe,” the study’s authors, Andreas Zick, Beate Kuepper, Andreas Hövermann, write. “The German surveys that we have been conducting at regular intervals since 2002, as well as studies in other European countries that have a different history of anti-Semitism, demonstrate that anti-Semitism is an important component of group-focused enmity. It is particularly conspicuous in the eastern European countries.” The 190-page study also examines other phenomena of what the researchers call group-focused enmity, such as old-fashioned racism, sexism, homophobia, anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant sentiments. The findings generally reveal that group-focused enmity is “widespread” in Europe, being weakest in the Netherlands and strongest in Poland and Hungary. About half of all European respondents, for instance, consider Islam a “religion of intolerance” and believe there are too many immigrants in their country. More than half of French respondents said that Muslims are “too demanding.” While the different prejudices measured by the study are very different in nature and seem to have no influence on one another, they are indeed interconnected, the researchers write. “Those who denigrate one group are very likely to target other groups too,” they write. The results of the study will be presented and discussed at Tel Aviv’s Beit Sokolov on May 1. The prime minister of the German state of Brandenburg, Matthias Platzeck, is scheduled to deliver the keynote speech at the event, entitled “Racism and anti-Semitism on the rise again? Anti-democratic tendencies in today’s multicultural Europe.” This Wednesday, on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Moshe Kantor program for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism and Racism at Tel Aviv University and European Jewish Congress will present its findings regarding the state of global anti-Semitism worldwide in 2010.

Why is this subversive jihadist allowed to serve in the British parliament or even allowed to remain in Britain at all? He should be tried for treason and stripped of his citizenship. What is it with us in the west that we welcome enemies into our nations and allow them the privileges of citizenship? Is this supposed to prove how tolerant we are? This goes far beyond tolerance, its suicidal. Fresno Zionism:

The announcement, made at a conference held in the Pakistani town of Haripur, came in response to a recent U.S. announcement offering a $10 million reward to anyone providing information leading to the capture of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, founder of the Pakistani jihadi organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and emir of LeT’s charity arm, Jamaatud Dawa.continue reading

These Jew-hating agitators and provocateurs should be barred from entering Israel. Why put the IDF in such a position to begin with? Israel isn’t impressing anyone by showing that it’s so tolerant it even allows in foreigners who call for the Jewish state to be annihilated. By allowing them in, all this shows is that Israel is a doormat. Would these cowardly Euro guttersnipes dare to pull this stunt in a muslim country? The answer is obvious. We have seen what islamic regimes do to their own people who protest. They would certainly suffer far worse damage than a booboo from a rifle butt to the face and it would not even be necessary to violently provoke the soldiers in those countries. These agitators pull these stunts in Israel precisely because they know they don’t face serious reprocussions from the Israelis. They know it is safe to enter Israel and speak out against the country and confront the IDF. Israpundit:
Plaut: Shalom Eisner “should instead be given a medal.” Obviously Plaut agrees with my comment in the other post. But not everybody does. Steinberg said “Tragically they are still successful in finding soldiers and, in this case, quite senior officers who lose control.” In other words, he doesn’t condone the soldiers actions. Even Plaut justified the soldier by saying he had been attacked. I took the position that as a matter of policy we should make them fear us. Its called deterrence. But as good as it feels to force conformity with our demands, some say it hurts our image around the world. Should we be concerned with this? Should we create an image of “nice” or an image of toughness? Which suits us better. Should we act in confrontation or should we avoid confrontation. Should we make a a big deal out of it or should we make the event a yawn? Ted Belman By Steven Plaut Well the “Flytilla” of pro-terrorism anarcho-fascists and Hitler Youth pretty much was halted in their airport espresso lounges yesterday. Only a handful of the gutternsnipes made it into Israel. Unfortunately, the government did not take my advice of shipping those into Gaza and then refusing ever to let them leave. The women “anarchists” could stay in Gaza and find work as comfort girls. The big story seems to be the IDF colonel who hit a Danish guttersnipe in the face with the butt of his rifle. The anarchists videotaped the incident and edited out what CAUSED the colonel to strike the guttersnipe. Well, now we know. The colonel, who is religious, has a long track record of keeping order and staying calm in the face of “anarchist” provocations. So what set him off? The Danish guttersnipe struck him violently and broke several of the colonel’s fingers. This is not shown in the anarchist edited videotape. The colonel is Shalom Eisner and he has been suspended from duties. But he should instead be given a medal. Please take a moment and send the Prime Minister a message, at this web site, calling for the full reinstatement of Colonel Eisner and his being granted a medal: http://www.pmo.gov.il/PMOEng/Public+Applications/PublicApplications/ Meanwhile, I think we need a new marching song to salute Colonel Eisner and celebrate the new out-of-character courage of the Israeli government in dealing with the anarcho-nazis. (The government also showed uncharacteristic moxie in its sarcastic letter mocking the guttersnipes. I have composed just the thing, based on the Michael Jackson song “Beat It!” Original Michael Jackson Lyrics here: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/michaeljackson/beatit.html Here is my version: “Beat them” [1st Verse] We Told them Don’t You Ever Come Around Here Don’t Wanna See Your Face, You Better Disappear The Hatred’s In Their Eyes And Their Words Are Really Clear So Beat them, Just Beat them [2nd Verse] You Better Run, You Better Do What You Can They wanna shed our Blood, So Be A Macho Man We gonna Be Tough, Let’s toss them in our Can So Beat them, Taser them so bad [Chorus] Just Beat them, Beat them, Beat them, Beat them No One Wants To Be Defeated Showin’ the Hitler Youth our Fight Anarcho-fascists Left and Right Just Beat them, Beat them Just Beat them, Beat them Just Beat them, Beat them Just Beat them, Beat them [Chorus] Beat them, Beat them, Beat them, Beat them The full news story on the assault of Colonel Eisner by the Danish Hitler youth: IDF Suspends Officer who Hit Anarchist After an initial investigation, IDF decides to suspend officer who was provoked by an anarchist and was videotaped hitting him. By Elad Benari The IDF has decided to suspend Lt. Col. Shalom Eisner, the IDF officer who was videotaped striking a Danish anarchist with his gun. In an updated statement released late Sunday evening, the IDF Spokesman’s Unit said, “The Head of Central Command, Maj. Gen. Nitzan Alon, has ordered an immediate inquiry into the incident in which Lt. Col. Shalom Eisner, Deputy Commander of the Bik’a Brigade, was seen hitting protesters in the Jordan Valley yesterday. After an initial inquiry conducted this evening (Sunday) by the Commander of the Bik’a Brigade, Maj. Gen. Nitzan Alon decided to adopt the recommendation of the Head of the Armored Corps, Brig. Gen. Agai Yehezkel, and suspend the officer immediately until the investigation is fully concluded.” The statement added that the Chief Military Advocate General, Brigadier General Danny Efroni, has ordered that the Military Police investigate the incident as well. Earlier Sunday, the anarchists uploaded a video to the Internet in which Eisner is seen slamming his gun, magazine first, into the face of an ISM anarchist. As is usual in such cases, the anarchists’ video is edited and does not include any documentation of their provocations vis-à-vis the reservist force that had to deal with them on the Jewish Sabbath. There was no evidence in the video that the anarchist was injured. The incident occurred near Route 90, which runs along Israel’s eastern border. The anarchists were obviously ignoring the orders of the IDF force to clear the road. The anarchists claimed that they were trying to conduct a peaceful protest by riding their bicycles on Route 90. IDF forces “brutally attacked” them, they claimed, and three activists were hospitalized after the event. The IDF Spokesman’s Unit told Arutz Sheva on Sunday that “This is a grave incident. The Head of Central Command, Maj. Gen. Nitzan Alon, has ordered that a thorough and serious inquiry be conducted. The inquiry will look into the circumstances that preceded the events documented in the video as well as the serious incident that is seen in the film. Lessons will be learned and proper steps will be taken.” Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz said on Sunday evening that he views the incident as a very serious one. The IDF Spokesman quoted Gantz as having said, “The incident does not reflect the values of the IDF and will be thoroughly investigated.” It was also revealed on Sunday that Eisner told a confidante that the leftist he was seen hitting in the video struck him first, causing fractures in his hand. Arik Ben Shimon, who served under Eisner in the past, spoke to him after the incident and heard his version of what happened. The Deputy Brigade Commander said that the moment taped and published in the internet was preceded by verbal and physical violence by the leftists against him and his soldiers. “You have to understand that this was a confrontation that lasted over two hours and not an event that lasted a few minutes,” Ben Shimon told Arutz Sheva. “This was the last line of defense before an area that was declared a ‘closed military zone’ and the video is obviously edited in a biased way, leaving out the part where that anarchist from Denmark hit Eisner with a stick in his right hand and caused fractures in his hand.” 2. More communist agitprop from Tel Aviv University 3. More Israel bashing from Ben Gurion University’s leading anti-Semite:
The subversive pro-jihad Council for the National Interest rants against the Israel lobby. According to them, the Israel lobby is responsible for the negative image of islam, surely not the ideas expressed by and actions of muslims themselves. Israpundit: Council for the National Interest Foundation Bleats about “Islamophobia”
Dr. Giraldi, a former CIA station chief, writes: “Depicting Islam as manifestly medieval, backward, and cruel is not new, as it has been going on in one form or another since the Israelis and Palestinians first locked horns. Recognizing that the propaganda that is being ground out in the mainstream media derives from that conflict, it is easy to understand why Muslims are persistently portrayed in negative terms. And it should be equally unsurprising to learn that those who are denigrating Muslims and Islam are almost invariably among the most uncritical supporters of Likudist Israel and all its works.”So according to giraldi and weir, islam is merely being depicted and portrayed in these terms by the Zionists. People don’t come to such a conclusion about islam based on the tens of thousands of jihadi terrorist attacks committed around the world, the beheadings, the “honor” murders of daughters, wives and sisters, the stonings, clitorectomies and the persection and genocide of non-muslims etc.
Weir continues, As Phil notes, the Israel lobby’s vicious Islamophobia “fuels other narratives that the neoconservatives and their friends support, like perpetual warfare against Islamic countries to bring about regime changes, suggesting that there is something that is not quite right in the way that Muslim countries govern themselves.”Suggesting something is not quite right in the way muslim countries govern themselves? Imagine that! Does Weir believe that gaddafi, saddam, assad, amadenijad et al oppressing and massacring their own citizens are models of governance? I find it amusing the notion that the Israel lobby would push for wars which have brought muslim brotherhood jihadists to power. But since Weir and Giraldi think islam and its sharia laws are such a wonderful thing, they should be thrilled about these uprisings. Such treachery coming from these vile, vulgar apologists and defenders of the most oppressive and murderous ideology on earth is ultimately more dangerous to us than the jihadis themselves. These are the type of dangerous, traitorous shills who serve in the intelligence and foreign policy establishment and who are advising this administration. I’ve said before that those who bleat the loudest about an insidious Israel lobby controlling our government are themselves paid shills for the saudis who are the ones really in control of our government. Fortunately for the jihadists, there is no shortage of moral cowardice amongst the enlightened western elites. Giraldi and Weir are moral degenerates of the worst kind. To their sick, twisted way of thinking, the problem does not lie with genocidal jihadists perpetrating upheavals and massacres around the world, but the problem is with the 6 million peaceful, productive Jews who inhabit a tiny strip of land the size of NJ and who’s only “crime” is to simply be living in their homeland and defending it from genocidal threats. And the mere existence of Jews and the Jewish homeland in their midst is an affront to islam. And for much of the western elite, the tiny Jewish state’s stubborn insistence on surviving is a source of trouble for them. Unfortunately there is no shortage of people in the west who think as Weir and Giraldi do.

The same media who viewed it as unseemly to judge Obama on his ties to Antisemitic, racist, anti-American Jeremiah Wright, the same media who will not dare utter any criticism of islam and demonizes anyone who does, is going after Romney regarding his Mormonism. Townhall:
The Media That Ignored Obama’s Beliefs Goes After Mitt’s Mormonism • •Doug Giles Apr 15, 2012 When the former junior state senator from Chicago, one Barack Obama—a man no one knew diddly about—decided, “Hey, I’m gonna run for president!†people were eager to learn more about this promising upstart. Uncle Joe Biden was curious about Barack. Joe said at first blush that Obama seemed “clean†and “articulate,†which, I think, would be a hate crime if a conservative said that about him. Anyhoo, Obama impressed many chiefly because he could enthusiastically read vague, cliché-riddled speeches off a teleprompter that included lots of big words like nobody’s business! This ability to read hazy political speeches in public without putting folks into a full-on level IV coma left the bedazzled masses wondering, “Who is this masked man? Who are his buddies?†and … “Are there more like him? He’s a doozy!†Yep, people wanted to know from whence he came, what books he read and what groups supported him because he was three words: A-May-Zing! As the various news outlets started finding out that BHO’s buddies were sordid, anti-American fellows of the baser sort; his favorite book was dedicated to Lucifer; his endorsers included Communists and Hamas; and his folks weren’t exactly the Huxtables, the mainstream media decided, “Eh, let’s not talk about his past and his present friends and philosophy but rather how inspiring his fuzzy speeches are and how skinny he is.†Indeed, everybody was like, “Well, those are some strange playmates, and those books are interesting—really not the ones we would read, but who are we to judge? And haven’t we all had, at one time or another, one or two friends in our past who dedicated riot-inducing books to Satan, set off a bomb in the Capitol Building and hated Israel with a passion? Would we like it if people painted us with our friends’ bizarre brush?†Gadfly Sean Hannity wouldn’t leave well enough alone in ‘07 and decided to investigate not only Obama’s pals but Barack and Michelle’s pastor/mentor and religion that they had enjoyed for the last two decades. Another celebrity shmuck weighs in on the Zimmerman/Martin brouhaha. Now Bill Cosby is the latest to get into the act. He asks why Zimmerman had a gun and who taught him to use it in that way. Well Cosby, that is exactly the way a gun is meant to be used, for self-defense. As to why he had a gun, should people be at the mercy of thugs? Would it have been better if Zimmerman was defenseless and he was the one killed or at least seriously injured?
Israel's enemies are certainly relentless. First it was the failed attempt at a second jihad flotilla, then the failed jihad march to Jerusalem. Now they have come up with the idea of a flytilla jihad. Here is Israel's official welcome letter:
'FLYTILLA' ACTIVISTS RECEIVE 'WELCOME' LETTER FROM ISRAEL by Rachel Hirshfeld The Israeli government has issued an official “welcome” letter to the pro-‘Palestinian’ “flytilla” activists who plan on arriving in the country on Saturday and Sunday. It reads as follows: “Dear Activists, "We appreciate your choosing to make Israel the object of your humanitarian concerns. “We know there were many other worthy choices. “You could have chosen to protest the Syrian regime’s daily savagery against its own people, which has claimed thousands of lives. "You could have chosen to protest the Iranian regime’s brutal crackdown on dissent and its support of terrorism throughout the world. "You could have chosen to protest Hamas rule in Gaza, where terror organizations commit a double war crime by firing rockets at civilians and hiding behind civilians. “But instead, you chose to protest against Israel, the Middle East’s sole democracy, where women are equal, the press criticizes the government, human rights organizations can operate freely, religious freedom is protected for all - and minorities do not live in fear.” “Therefore, we suggest you solve the real problems of the region first, and then come back and share your experiences with us. Have a nice flight,” the letter concludes.

It's amazing how so many devout muslims misunderstand islam. After all, what would a devout muslim know about sharia compared to the average western know-it-all liberal. Israpundit:
In Egypt, the Salafists are gaining ground Brotherhood Too Tame for Egyptian Presidential Contender By Steve Emerson, IPT News It’s the dawn of a new age in Egypt for Salafist presidential contender Hazem Salah Abu Ismail. The confidence exuded by the popular 50-year old lawyer-turned- preacher says as much. He has praised al-Qaida founder Osama bin Laden as a “martyr,” called on the United States to release convicted terrorist mastermind Omar Abdel Rahman (aka the “Blind Sheikh”), and has said the 9/11 terror attacks were “fabricated from the outset.” Israel, he says, is a “false state” and Egypt should nullify the peace treaty with it. His political platform closely mirrors the strict Salafi reading of Islamic law, which denies the very existence of personal freedoms and attempts to set society back to the way it was during the time of the early Caliphs. His views appear to be striking a chord in Egypt. He is soaring in polls six weeks before the election. The candidate, whose bearded face can be spotted on walls and posters all over Egypt, is polling in second place with 28.8% support among 1,200 respondents. And while the results do not take into account last-minute changes in the race, including the entry of former Mubarak insider Omar Suleiman, it’s not a bad sign to be second only to an Egyptian bigwig like former Arab League Secretary Amr Moussa among a crowded field of presidential hopefuls. Political data aside, Abu Ismail has a lot to be confident about. In just a few short weeks, he has not only defied fierce attempts from within his own power-base to sideline his presidential bid, but has also curbed an initial legal challenge over his legitimacy to pursue office. The fact that Abu Ismail’s political stock has risen so rapidly, even while being plainly clear about his intentions to forcibly implement the Salafist’s austere vision of Islam on the country speaks to Egypt’s political climate. Just 15 months after Tahrir, the country is today a far cry from Hosni Mubarak’s Egypt. Political Islamists have secured three quarters of the new Parliament’s lower house and more than 80 percent of its Shura Council (or Upper House) seats. Muslim Brothers sit at the head of the table in both chambers, and numerous prominent Islamists are battling it out over who will take over Mubarak’s former job. The secular liberals—largely credited with launching the revolution in the first place—Christians, socialists, and former regime officials are all but MIA. Abu Ismail’s political success may have been unthinkable fifteen months ago; today it is a reality. Brotherhood Breakoutcontinue reading

CBN is the real conservative media alternative. The phony “conservatives” at FOX do not dare address this issue. This is where liberal tolerance and multiculturalism leads a society. Liberals have this perverse notion that they are being progressive and enlightened by accepting every culture as equal while attacking those who want to preserve our own superior western civilization as racist and intolerant. There is nothing progressive and enlightening about embracing a culture which sanctifies barbarity.
We have the misfortune of having self-proclaimed “leaders” who are eunichs. When are Jews going to man-up? We are constantly being betrayed by Jewish organizations. What purpose do they serve if they are consistently acting against Jewish interests and caving to the demands of Jew-haters? We would be better off without these organizations or replace them with fearless and proud Jewish leadership. Israpundit:
Holocaust Speaker Too Controversial for Purdue Calumet? The Jewish Federation recently played a decisive role in the cancellation of a speaker on the Holocaust at Purdue University in Indiana. In withdrawing the invitation to Peggy Shapiro, an appointee to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council, Michael Steinberg, the executive director of the Jewish Federation, voiced his concern about presenting a“politically sensitive topic on campus,” particularly upsetting representatives of the Muslim Brotherhood (the MSA). Muslim students on campus have filed numerous harassment claims against a political science professor at Purdue, who has been determined to confront Islamic jihad. (Imagine that! Someone trying to prevent the slaughter of infidels! What nerve!) Muslim students were offended when the professor demanded justice for Black Christians murdered by Muslims in Nigeria. (Yes, OFFENDED!) It’s certainly remarkable that the Jewish Federation would back out of a talk about the Holocaust! You can do your part by withholding all donations to the Federation, the largest Jewish philanthropic organization in the world. If you donate to this organization, YOU are supporting actions like this as well as a program that sends American college students to meet with Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas operatives. Janet Levy, Los Angeles Holocaust Speaker Too Controversial for Purdue Calumet? Another mockery of the free and open exchange of ideas has unfolded in Indiana. Last week, Purdue University Calumet had the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), along with anti-Israel activist Sefi Samuel speak on campus. Yet the university’s history department, in conjunction with the local Jewish Federation, played a role in the cancellation of another speaker, Peggy Shapiro, two weeks ago.Ms. Shapiro is the Midwest director of StandWithUs, an organization “dedicated to informing the public about Israel and to combating the extremism and anti-Semitism that often distorts the issues.” She was a special appointee to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council and is also the child of Holocaust survivors. (NOTE: StandWithUs (and ZOA) is aware that the Jewish Federation and Hillel promote and provide financial and logistical support for a program that sends American college students to meet with Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas operatives (Olive Tree Initiative (OTI)). Imagine that! Romney might actually consult Israel on issues effecting Israel. How insidious! The only people who would see Romney's past relationship with Bibi as problematic are those who aren’t going to vote for Romney anyway. The usual gaggle of conspiracy mongering anti-Semites who already think Jews and Israeli Lukudniks control America. The NY slimes is preaching to the choir. This will only elevate Romney in the eyes of most conservatives who have otherwise been cool towards him. How about we speak of the disproportionate muslim influence beyond their numbers? CAIR, the saudi lobby and so forth dwarf AIPAC’s influence in Washington. And then of course there is all the saudi and other gulf Arab money which goes into universities, media and think tanks. Israpundit: NYT strikes again NY Times weaves a Netanyahu-Romney conspiracy tale Leo Rennert, AMERICAN THINKER There it is above the fold on the front page of the Sunday, April 8, New York Times, a tale of a long friendship between GOP presidential aspirant Mitt Romney and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with insinuations aplenty that it could become an unprecedented and worrisome Israeli influence conduit reaching directly into the Oval Office. (“A Friendship Dating to 1976 Resonates in 2012 – Shared Experiences Connect Romney and Netanyahu”). The story, by Michael Barbaro, begins in 1976 when the Boston Consulting Group hired both men as corporate advisers — the seed of a lasting, personal friendship. So far, it seems an innocent enough happenstance, but Barbaro is quick to cast it in dark hues, with innuendoes, inferences and hints that this would give Israel automatic control of U.S. policy in the Middle East. Or, as Barbaro puts it, “a warm friendship, little known to outsiders, is now rich in political intrigue.” Fleshing out his theme of an extraordinary and potentially problematic bond between Romney and Netanyahu, Barbaro recounts how the relationship was nurtured “over meals in Boston, New York and Jerusalem and heightened by their conservative ideologies.” Having sown his alarms about the two men’s dubious ties, Barbaro proceeds to speculate what the history of such friendship actually might portend for life-and-death White House decisions in a Romney presidency — a “history that could well influence decision-making at a time when the United States may face crucial questions about whether to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities or support Israel in such action.” In other words, Bibi could end up calling the shots for a complaisant President Romney. Barbaro notes ominously that Romney has suggested “that he would not make any significant policy decisions about Israel without consulting Mr. Netanyahu.” Wow! But what’s wrong with that? Doesn’t Obama consult with Britain’s David Cameron or Germany Chancellor Merkel on NATO decisions affecting them? Aren’t consultations with close allies a perfectly normal part of U.S. diplomacy? Why, even Winston Churchill slept in the White House during World War 2 without being able to twist FDR around his little finger. When the chips are down, U.S. presidents act according to their views of U.S. national interests. Barbaro, however, declares that, when it comes to Israel getting some input on strategic U.S. Mideast decisions, it would amount “to a level of deference that could raise eyebrows given Mr. Netanyahu’s polarizing reputation, even as it appeals to the neoconservatives and evangelical Christians who are fiercely protective of Israel.” Raised eyebrows by whom, besides the New York Times? But thus doth Barbara pump up his conspiracy tale by picturing Bibi as opening the way for neoconservatives and Christian evangelicals to appropriate Mideast decision-making in a Romney White House. Undaunted, Barbaro buttresses his view that U.S. consultations with Israel would constitute a dangerous camel’s-nose-under-the-U.S.-tent leverage for Israel by quoting Martin Indyk, a U.S. ambassador to Israel during the Clinton administration. Indyk, of course, is ready and willing to authenticate his conspiracy theory. According to Indyk, a readiness by Romney to consult with Netanyahu on matters affecting Israel, “whether intentional or not, implies that Romney would subcontract Middle East policy to Israel (and) that of course, would be inappropriate.” All this because of two years of on-and-off concurrent work by Bibi and Mitt at Boston Consulting in the mid-1970s (the two men never worked together on a project). Barbaro, however, emphasizes that the friendship continued beyond that. Later, he notes, after decamping to Bain & Company, “Romney worked closely with Fleur Cates, Mr. Netanyahu’s second wife.” But even after Bibi divorced his second wife, “Ms. Cates remains in touch with Mr. Romney.” Remember, dear reader, the name of Fleur Cates, a gray eminence navigating somewhere between Bibi and Mitt. What a conspiratorial tale! The only thing missing are the graphics to give it even more heft than just splashing it on the front page. What next in the New York Times — a piece legitimizing the original bogus Jewish conspiracy tale, “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”? I'm sure we will soon be seeing islam apartheid week events on college campuses. Atlas:
"Submit to Sharia or get out" of Sudan: Ethnic Cleansing the North This is the sharia. More of their fabled co-existence ..... "Submit to Sharia or get out" of Sudan: Christians must become citizens today or be deported, in bid to rid country of Christianity Jihadwatch But no worries. Everyone knows that Sharia is benign and fully compatible with freedom and humane values. The Sudanese government is just misunderstanding it. "Southern Sudanese Christians Fear Forced Repatriation," from Compass Direct News, April 6: JUBA, South Sudan, April 6 (CDN) — Christians from South Sudan who have until Easter Sunday (April 8) to try to become citizens of Sudan or be deported fear authorities will use the occasion to rid the country of Christianity, church leaders said. More than 500,000 citizens of southern ethnic origin who have been living in Sudan for decades – some of them born there – will be considered foreigners after Sunday. Human rights organizations have called on Khartoum to grant them more time to either leave or apply for citizenship. Christian leaders expressed concern that local media such as the daily Al Intibaha newspaper have been stoking hatred against predominantly Christian southern Sudanese, describing them as “cancer cells in the body of Sudan, the land of the Arab and Islam,” and calling on the government to deport them.continue readibg

The Washington Post and the fake Christian who authored the article attempt to incite American Christians against Israel with the lie that Christians are being denied entry to Jerusalem for Easter. I am so sick of the incessant libels spoken against Israel. Why not speak of the persecution of Christians in muslim countries?
Israel’s US envoy rejects ‘libelous’ article on Palestinian Christians’ access to Jerusalem Washington Post estimates only 2,000-3,000 entry permits issued for Easter; Oren says virtually all West Bank Christians can come By DAVID HOROVITZ April 5, 2012, 7:38 pm Christian worshipers take part in the 'Holy Fire' ceremony at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem's Old City last Easter. (photo credit: Kobi Gideon/Flash90) Israel’s ambassador to the United States on Thursday denounced as “libelous” an article that appeared in The Washington Post which claimed that Israel prevents “the vast majority of Christians living in the West Bank” from entering Jerusalem to attend Easter holy week ceremonies. “It’s a libelous article,” Ambassador Michael Oren said of the piece, headlined “A dark Easter for Palestinian Christians” and written by Richard Stearns, the US president of World Vision, a global Christian humanitarian agency. In the piece, which focuses on the annual “Holy Fire” ceremony at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem’s Old City, Stearns writes that “local Christians estimate that only 2,000-3,000 permits are provided” by the Israeli authorities for West Bank Christians to come to Jerusalem for key Easter week celebrations. This “despite the overwhelming desire among 50,000 Palestinian Christians” to come to the city in Easter week. Michael Oren (photo credit: Yossi Zamir/Flash90) Not so, said Oren. “The army and security services have created a situation where virtually any Christian in the West Bank can visit the Holy Places in Jerusalem on Good Friday and Easter.” He estimated that some 20,000 entry permits had been issued this year. Officials said only West Bank Christians suspected of posing a security risk were denied permits. They said Israel also annually issues hundreds of permits for the diminishing Christian community in Hamas-controlled Gaza to come to Jerusalem at Easter. Stearns’s article included a prayer for “another miracle” — in addition to that of the “Holy Fire” ceremony — “one that would give full religious freedom to the Christians in the West Bank and Gaza.” Said Oren: “Israel is committed to enabling free access to the Holy Places and to maintaining our excellent relations with the Christian world.” http://www.timesofisrael.com/israels-us-envoy-slams-libelous-article-on-palestinian-christian-access-to-jerusalem/

The left wing media salivates at the prospect of a hate crime being committed. They so desperately want to prove their phony narrative of a racist America victimizing blacks and muslims. They have even gone so far as doctoring audio and video tapes to "prove" a hate crime occured as in the case of George Zimmerman. And like they did with that case, the media jumped the gun regarding a muslim woman who was murdered in California, calling it a hate crime. And once again the media narrative has proven to be false. Atlas:
Where are the Million Hijabs Against Honor Killings? Shaima Alawadi's Murder Not a "Hate Crime" -- likely Honor Killing Not. a. hate. crime. Immediately after the media jumped all over the murder of a Muslim woman as a hate crime, there were calls for One Million Hijabs for Shaima Al Awadi. Where was the media on the honor murders of Noor Alamelki, Jessica Mokdad, Amina Said, Sarah Said, Aasiya Hassan, Aqsa Parvez ......? Where were the One Million Hijabs Against Honor Killings? I surmised that the murder of Shaima Alawadi appeared to be Islamic, rooted in Islamic teachings and culture, and not a hate crime. The family called it a hate crime (that relentless fictitious nonexistent meme) and the Muslim Brotherhood operatives have been feeding the lie from their propaganda mills that the media so readily eats up. These are the Muslim groups, i.e. CAIR, that share, espouse, and advance the very same teachings and motivations that the Jew-killing jihadi, Muhamad Merah had. Close your eyes and CAIR and Merah are interchangeable. Hamas-linked CAIR, one of the top five Threats to Freedom on AFDI's Threats to Freedom Index, has frequently echoed the same rhetoric about Israel and the Palestinians that Mohamed Merah used as justifications for his murders of Jewish children and a rabbi in Toulouse. Mousa Marzook, a senior member of Hamas, was a founder of the Islamic Association for Palestine, CAIR's parent group. CAIR's cofounder Nihad Awad has declared his support for Hamas, and CAIR frequently echoes Hamas propaganda regarding alleged Israeli atrocities. CAIR and Mohamed Merah share the same ideological perspective on Israel -- one which, Merah proved, can easily lead to the murder of innocents.Continue reading
How does one explain the fact that American Jewish liberals express far warmer feelings toward muslims who call for Jewish genocide than Christian Zionist friends? These suicidal Jews have serious psychological issues.
Jews Against Jihad: An Antidote for American Jews Who Prefer Muslims Over Christian Zionists by Jerry Gordon, The Iconoclast Jerusalem Post Washington Correspondent Hilary Leila Krieger had a comment to an article she filed this week about a finding from the results a recent poll of American Jews. The comment was that American Jews allegedly preferred Muslims over the Christian Right sic Zionists, see here. That finding was drawn from a poll on Presidential prospects in 2012 that indicated that 62 Percent of American Jews supported Obama’s re-election, a drop from the 78 % that voted for him in 2008. She noted: Jews have warmer feelings towards Muslims and Mormons than the Christian right. None of the groups cracked the warm feelings half of the favorability scale, where 100 equals very warm feelings and equals very cold feelings. But Mormons came close with an average score of 47 out of 100 points and Muslims behind that at 41 out of 100 points. Jews rated the Christian right at an average of just 21 out of 100. This may come as a shock, but it shouldn’t. Most American Jews are committed to interfaith dialogue, including with Muslims. However they are virtually ignorant of the primordial Jew hatred in doctrinal Islam. That is compounded by the Da’wa tactics of religiously sanctioned taqiyya and kitman used to great effect by Imams in Dar al Hijra (the land of immigration in the West) to deceive the unbelievers in these dialogue sessions, whether Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and other of the world’s major faiths. We have written about how prevalent and dangerous dialogue is to American Jews in a January 2012 New English Review (NER) article, Dialogue with Radical Muslims is Dangerous for American Jews. However, that is not always the case, as we witnessed firsthand when retired Hebrew University Professor Raphael Israeli lectured on the topic of Jews and Christians in Muslim Lands before a large audience in my synagogue in Pensacola in January 2012. In an NER interview with Israeli, “Islam, Democracy and the Arab Spring”, we noted: At the B’nai Israel Synagogue presentation, a mixed audience composed of mainstream and Evangelical Christians, Reform, Conservative, and Messianic Jews with a sprinkling of religious skeptics listened attentively to his discourse on the broad sweep and diversity of Muslim demography across the Ummah, the EU and potentially here in America. He revealed how Jews and Christians fared in the wake of the Islamic Jihad conquest across northern Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and the Indian sub-continent. Israeli explained the Islamic system of dhimmitude for subjugated peoples in conquered lands under the oppressive creed of Islam. These conquered lands were predominately Christian with Jewish minorities in North Africa and the Middle East, Hindu and Buddhist in other realms. Israeli’s presentation showed how rapid conquest and occupation of settled communities by rampaging Islamic Arab nomads evolved into a system of Islamic Sharia laws. This system pressured indigenous captured populations survived to accept the choice of conversion, living in a despised status without human or civil rights, or fleeing. Over time, the Islamic system turned once non-Muslim majority countries into majority Muslim ones. He addressed examples of the contemporary eruption of fundamentalist Islam that appears poised to further deplete the remnants of ancient Jewish and Christian communities in the Middle East who suffered centuries of depredations from jihad conquest, subjugation and persecution. That is evident in the continuing pogroms against the Coptic community in Egypt and the Assyrian Christian one in Iraq. Like the one million Jews who fled Arab and Muslim lands and found sanctuary in the Jewish State of Israel and the West, the surviving Christian communities are now seeking refuge in their respective diasporas in the wake of the “Arab Spring.” At the conclusion of Israeli’s Pensacola lecture the audience streamed up front to linger and ask both of us questions about the implication of his talk. Without hesitation the all too frequent response was, “there are no negotiations with their God Allah”. Proving that if a cross section of Americans, Jews, Christians and skeptics, can get this message after getting the facts about Islamic doctrine, then there is hope that message could penetrate the fog of ignorance conveyed by mainstream and even Jewish media. That is the raison d’être for Jews Against Jihad, a new group now in the initial stages of development led by Don Feder, former syndicated columnist for the Boston Herald and coordinator for the Shariah Awareness Action Network Conference held in November 2011 and sponsored by theTennessee Freedom Coalition in Nashville in November 2011. Among others involved with formation of this new group are Rabbi Jonathan Hausman, an NER contributor and expert on Halacha Jewish Law versus Shariah and Dr. Andrew Bostom, author of The Legacy of Jihad, The Legacy of Islamic Antisemitism and the forthcoming Sharia versus Freedom–The Legacy of Islamic Totalitarianism. I have signed on as one of the early backers of Jews Against Jihad, which despite the name of the group the invitation to join is extended all concerned persons. Should you wish to join the new group, write directly to Don Feder at his website, here. In the alternative, you may write me at my NER email address and indicate your support by using this response, “I’m in” and indicating your affiliation. Below is the Statement of Principles of Jews Against Jihad: Jews against Jihad — Statement of Principles Everywhere the Jewish people are under attack by Muslim terrorists, regimes and religious authorities. Jews are regularly murdered, tortured, terrorized and demonized in the name of Islam. This is happening in Israel , the Middle East, Europe, and the United States and around the world. Far from being isolated incidents, these crimes are connected and come from a central source – Islam’s theological hatred for the Jewish people and paranoia stretching back centuries to its origins. This can be met in one of two ways. The Jewish establishment and Jewish left choose to pretend reality doesn’t exist – to ignore the atrocities and hate speech – or to blame it all on the Middle East conflict, thus rationalizing a pogrom in progress. Worse, they indict those of us who dare speak the truth as “Islamophobes” – bigots and hate-mongers who incite violence against innocent Muslims. While Jews are slaughtered by Muslims in the name of Islam – while a modern Kristallnacht takes place in Western Europe (spurred by Muslim immigration), while 80% of U.S. mosques contain pro-jihad material (according to one survey) — they engage in campaigns against “Islamophobia.” It’s the Stockholm syndrome on a massive scale. Or the gravest threat to the survival of the Jewish people since the fall of the Third Reich can be met by Jews who unflinchingly stand for the truth and are determined to sound the alarm. Jews Against Jihad was born out of necessity and exists to warn both Jews and non-Jews of the nature of Islam and the relationship between this savage war against the Jewish people and the rhetoric of the Muslim elite and history and tradition of Islam.
